Getting Started with Mozilla WebThings Part 2: Building an ESP8266 Temperature Sensor with Arduino

preview_player
Показать описание

The ESP8266 is connected to a digital temperature sensor, which we can query using the I2C protocol. We then use the WebThings library for Arduino to construct a request that automatically updates the displayed temperature value in the WebThings interface.

Respected *Shawn Hymel* sir,
I am a student, and literally the way you have teached electricity and electromagnetism is infinite wonderful!❤️ You have given us knowledge in the best way which nobody has ever given to us!
In india, teachers don't teach us correctly, they just make. Us gulp the text written in the book.
I request you teacher Shawn hymel that please try to teach us more physics like that you did in past(electricity, electromagnetism)
I know making more such videos will take a lot of effort! But please try to help,
Hope you will reply sir🙏🙏🙏👍❤️😁

Thank you for this video. Just got WebThings set up and running some lights. Thinking of setting up garden sensors. Looking forward to more WebThings videos!

Love your videos and this awesome guide! Not sure how to not sound picky but if you could find out how to stop the sound of crickets as an ambience it would be much nicer 😅

Thanks a lot, Shawn. I could deploy it with the ArduinoJSON version 6 Library and humidity sensor is working now as well. With a little bit modification of your code I can run it on my esp32 with DHT 11 sensor.

Awesome!!
I've watched the video multiple times, and the content is extremely valuable, to say the least.
What can you tell about Moz://a webthing as the date of today because I see you didn't make any video related to Moz-IoT from 12/23/2019?
I'm really curious to know from you because I just started to learn M-iot as a beginner, and I want to make a good start.

Is the bug you mentioned is fixed sending multiple messages / values ?

Anybody know 🤔 ?

Would it be possible to use this to control a closet light? My idea is to have a magnet switch detect when a closet is opened and to have it turn on the light. And then have a push button that just overrides off and on.

Thanks for this video. Its Great work, but what to change in the code to use the DHT11 Temperature Humidity sensor?

please make a video where you queue and store data at ca 1000Hz from the gyroscope. (Hold button to record/queue, release to upload?) Thx!!
