How To Get Your Windows 10 Product Or OEM License Key

Find out or retrieve your Windows 10 Retail or OEM license key or product activation details easily and without costing a penny (or cent)

Open a command prompt with Admin rights (right click)
type the following (or copy and paste)
wmic path softwarelicensingservice get oA3xOriginalProductKey
and press enter

You can also use Powershell with this code
(Get-WmiObject -query 'select * from SoftwareLicensingService').OA3xOriginalProductKey

This doesn't always work depending on the installation type so you can also try this alternative method using a vbs or visual basic script.

Now this is the part where i planned to copy paste the script information but sadly the Youtube Studio won't allow angled brackets to be written in the text box, so i will add the script to the pinned section in the technical question and answers section in our discord chat server. The script is visible on the screen but that really would suck to type that all in!

The script worked a desktop, line of code worked on a laptop. Downside is unless your on Win 11 it really wont mater after October 2025. Thanks it helped for now.
