Analysis of NDPP interviews so far: Nicole Fritz

Interviews for a new prosecutions boss kicked off at the Union Buildings in Pretoria today. Initially, the interviews were to be held in secret. But NGO Right2Known was successful in persuading the North Gauteng High Court that the interviews should be open to the media and therefore to the public. The judge said it was a matter of public knowledge that the office of the National Director of Public Prosecutions is plagued by instability and that the process of electing a new head should be seen to be independent. One of the candidates being interviewed today was the acting Prosecutions Boss, Silas Ramaite. To discuss we're joined by the CEO of NGO, Freedom Under Law, Nicole Fritz.
