OpenManage Enterprise Power Manager Overview

This 2-min 45-second video describes Power Manager, which is now integrated with the OpenManage Enterprise (OME) management console and which helps users understand power consumption and thermal behavior in their data centers. Power Manager is easy to use yet provides sophisticated information to help make data centers more energy efficient and green. Key features of Power Manager are: Alerts – sent if individual servers or groups of servers exceed a power threshold; Power Cap – which can be set to limit energy consumption of servers, racks of servers, rows of servers, the entire room, etc.; and Policies – which establish power guidelines or limits, e.g. power consumption during off-hours.
