* kisi bhi cheez ki permission lene ke liye. For eg- can i ask you a question

* ye bhi can ki tarah hota hai bas ye formal hota hai
* may ka use permission lene mai aur possibility krne mai hota hai. For eg- may i come in?( permission ke liye), it may rain today( possibility ke liye)

* ye can ka past Tense hota hai
* jab hum past ki baat aaj kr rhe hote hai jisme koi capability ya ability ke baare mai baat ho rhi hoti hai tab iska use hota hai. For eg- i could not understand his point
