Triad’s In Your Guitar Solo

Use TRIADS the easy way! Today we will create fill licks in between the chords on guitar, using simple triad shapes. As we play rhythm it's good to be able to add licks in between the chords. I missed this concept for years! Locating triads on the fretboard is a great tool for lead guitar playing. Using an E major groove for these examples. But these solo ideas can be used in any key. Hi Rusty I just came across your video lessons yesterday. I am 76 years old and picked up the guitar five six years ago as an educator. I played guitar back in the late fifties and sixties in a couple of rock bands but did not know what I was doing. I have been taking many online lessons from several good instructors, and I am beginning to feel confident as it relates to lead but finding your video on triads and hitting the root notes in each note turned on a light bulb for me. Thank you for doing this. I will be watching more as I continue my journey.

Love your looper groove. Triads are a cool way to target the chord tones. Plus, helps you work on triads in general. 2 birds, 1 stone. Be fun for me if you added a bit of distortion and cover a blues rock sound using this method, in.addition to the country blues. Happy New Year to you Rusty!
