Very well organized way of building a template. I like the way you think :-)
I just have 3 important questions.

1. How would you organize layering instruments from different vendors?
2. How would you organize all the articulations?
3. How would you manage/mix different mic positions from the instruments without getting too overwhelmed in tracks for each of them?

The '===' prefix structure is brilliant. Thank you so much for sharing these awesome ideas!

Hi T. I didnt see any routing of the instrument tracks. Am I to assume I direct route each track to its respective V1 1 - = Strings high short track, and then allow the routing of the = == === to take care of the rest? I saw your easy way to bounce out your 8 or 9 === group tracks, but without the intruments routing to them I wasnt sure what else to do.

Very interesting Tormod. I just purchased a crossgrade for Cubase Pro 12 and am trying to figure out how to create my own film score template. So how do I sign up for your newsletter, and get the sample template? In exchange I am happy to send you my own film score template (created for Reaper).

Hi Tormod, I am using your excellent template which you presented so well - thank you. I created it with you as we went along. One thing I can't do is route a group to an FX channel which I suspect may make sense but I just can't understand why. Scenario is I open the =String high group and then try to send this to the FX REV Strings high channel. I have all the options available to me except FX REV strings high. The same happens if I try the = strings low, all FX channels except FX strings low are available and so on through all the groups. I'll bet there's a really good reason for that I just don't know what it is. Be very grateful if you have any ideas?

Hey Tormod, great instruction! I don't understand something. In your video you route the instruments into the output. Shouldn't the instruments be routed into the groups?

Hi again Tormod, I think this has got to be the final question as it feels unfair to take advantage of your generosity with your time. I am new to this and am stuck at a point where I'm unclear how to proceed. I have all Midi rendered to audio and am sitting with some Strings =Hi short and strings =Hi long routing to the ==Strings high group. In terms of rendering to get to a final single audio file. Do I do something magical to use the output of ==String High to render the =Hi short and =Hi long strings to a single High strings audio file. Or is the == strings high group simply a place to use effects that can apply to the whole group. And I must always render everything on an individual track basis using render in place to combine to one file making sure I select the relevant options to capture all effects in the signal path. I have re-written this bad boy about 15 times to try to make it easy to understand - sadly this is the best I have managed to do 🙂

Why do you not have the Shorts and Longs on the Woodwinds and Brass groups but you do for the Strings? I like the color choices and the prefix idea!

Excellent template Tormod! I love the "funnel" structure. It really make things way more organized.
I built my template from scratch while following your instructions. Currently replacing most of the stock plugins with my preferred ones.

Would love to know what plugins you use and abuse. And what about mastering chains?
I am definitely a better composer than producer so tips regarding mixing and mastering would be much appreciated.
Keep up the splendid work! <3

Hey, could you do a video with your big 2400 track template with slave computers? Would like to see your setup, routing etc and your hardware slaves. Nice work so far! Keep it up!

Hi sir, can you do a tutorial on using multiple instruments in one instance of kontakt on track instruments with 16 MIDI channels & 16 individual audio outputs for each instruments in that instance of kontakt?

I am really confused about this. 😵😵😵

I have limited RAM so i cannot use one instrument per instance of kontakt, my computer takes too long to open the project.

Thanks 🥺
