In this week's episode, #127, I will continue the story of Cath Finntrágha, The Battle of the White Strand, from the Finn cycle of tales. This is a legendary battle in which the Fianna (with the help of the Tuatha Dé Danann) battle against Dáire Donn, the "king of the world" and the massed armies that come to take Ireland. Based at Ventry (from the Irish Finntraigh or White Strand) in Co. Kerry, the story of this legendary battle was first written down in the 15th century but is based on much older materials.

It's ones like this that makes me wonder the meaning in realistic terms I guess it's that tribalism we are also firmly against these days philosophically I don't believe xenophobia is an answer maybe it's an allegory for Ireland and Rome's uneasy truce or something
