I got this movie at Dollar Tree today, and I cannot get over what a wonderful experience it was watching it - OUTSTANDING! Absolutely top notch - I can't believe I got this for a dollar. The performances are excellent, and the extras in the DVD - oh my GOSH!! What a wonderful sweet movie - I love it!!!!

This movie is a fav of mine... its not about Dolls... Its about "A bizarre love triangle at a doll factory in a small Midwest town. long time employees Martha and Kyle have become friends in spite of their age difference. their dynamic is upset by the arrival of a new worker, young attractive single mother, Rose. As Martha grows wary about Roses character, she discovers Kyle and Rose getting into a relationship of their own. and someone dies because of the triangle" I like the movie because the actors didn't have a script... they were told what happens but they needed to act and talk on their own. it was all improv and unknown actors.

Watching this movie feels like discovering a lost American classic. This trailer IMO does not sell what the movie is. What you get is a quiet, closely observed, character drama stripped of Hollywood gimmick. Ironically, this is from the director of Ocean's 11!

Okaaay... that trailer is from outer space! The movie, freaking awesome. Slowest, cheapest, low-key-est, most honest, most hard-core-est, most realistic freaking story I've ever scene. I can't believe she killed her. Damn. Netflix, bring this back for live streaming!

The ending was a total let down. I thought it would have been a trial and a flashback as to exactly what happened. That would have really drove the plot good movie but a huge void in the end

I had to see this movie because of this trailer being so vague so I borrowed it from my local library. I read a little about it beforehand on _Wikipedia_ and _iMDB_ but not the full articles because I wanted to get the story from watching the film. The way that it was made, the players are not professional actors and the film isn't presented with the gloss of an average _Hollywood_ film so it's a very minimalist sort of movie, that almost has the feel of a documentary.

When I watched the DVD extras afterward I felt really let down because there's a vibrancy and liveliness in the actor's that doesn't come across in the way they played their parts in this film. The movie is OK. *The commentary with the actors as well as the behind the scenes features is even better!*

Completely misses the entire gist of the film. It's about a murder, and the dull muted drudgery of midtown America. It's not really a whodunnit tho cos it's obvious from only 3 actors at the centre of the story who did do it. I would call it an artfully filmed play. Nothing earth-shattering, but quite nice; a modest charm to it.

My wife and I just bought this movie from the dollar tree and the trailer has nothing to do with the movie. The movie was boring but the ending was not good at all. My wife says that it was not worth the dollar that we paid for it.
