Netflix is back with another movie exclusive. The Adam Project features Ryan Reynolds as a time traveling pilot who meets up with his younger self. It's a sci-fi drama that's light on sci-fi and heavy on sappy drama. The film safe for pretty much all ages but that doesn't mean its worth watching. In fact, I would say it is a very skippable film. It has a very standard plot with little in the way of surprises or interesting action. Watch Back to the Future instead or Disney's The Kid.

Wow... totally disagree with you on you. Really enjoyed this one. A perfect mix of tropes I know and love. Individually, familiar... but the cocktail of Time Cop, Field of Dreams, and Quantum Leap mixed together was awesome. Ryan's shtick still works for me I guess 🤷‍♂️

I think it was a great movie especially on a Netflix budget, Zoey Saldana did as good as she could with the screen time she had (I felt her presence) wouldn't have expected anything less from her, Ryan Reynolds seems to have really enjoyed himself doing this movie, it was a nice cool 20mins of seeing Mark Ruffalo also,

I can see a sequel, they just need to work on their villian (She needed more motivation to be evil)

This movie was fantastic. Maybe it didn’t have enough 13 year girls dealing with their periods for you. On top of being a good movie, it had an incredible ATMOS mix.

The fact that the trailer gave away the basic plot, the beginning of the film should of just started with the kid going into the woods which kinda reminded me of ‘flight of the navigator’ .. a bit. Yeah, it’s a flat movie.. not great, not horrible..

I'm having a hard time finding people who don't enjoy the movie like I don't haha, I don't think it's a bad movie by any means but it felt kinda soulless at times and it felt like Ryan Reynolds playing Ryan Reynolds (like he does for all his films 🙄) is a little outdone for me at this point. But I know people are always going to enjoy his persoanlity and way of acting because it is an enjoyable performance, just not my thing anymore

Haven't seen this yet, but sometimes Ryan Reynolds does that thing where he's Ryan Reynolds a little too much for my taste. It can be exhausting. So based on that and your review, I think this will be relegated to the "eh, maybe if I see it on some streaming service for free and I can't find anything else to watch" bin.
