Σύμφωνα με δημοσιεύματα σε ξένα μέσα ενημέρωσης, η ιστοσελίδα Asharq Al-Awsat, η οποία και εδρεύει στο Λονδίνο, ανέφερε σε άρθρο της ότι ανώνυμη πηγή της, την ενημέρωσε, πως ένας καλά πληροφορημένος Ρώσος αξιωματούχος, είπε ότι το Κρεμλίνο έχει πια χάσει την υπομονή του, σχετικά με τις αεροπορικές επιθέσεις του Ισραήλ, στην Συρία.
Έτσι όπως αναφέρει το δημοσίευμα, η Ρωσική πλευρά θα ενισχύσει την αντιαεροπορική-αντιπυραυλική άμυνας της Συρίας, παρέχοντας στην κυβέρνηση του προέδρου Bashar al-Assad, δυνατότερα όπλα αεράμυνας, χωρίς όμως να κατονομάζει, το ποια θα είναι αυτά.

According to foreign media reports, the London-based Asharq Al-Awsat website reported in an article that an anonymous source told her that a well-informed Russian official had said that Kremlin had lost patience with Israeli airstrikes in Syria.
According to the report, the Russian side will strengthen Syria's air defense - missile defense system by providing the government of President Bashar al-Assad with stronger air defense weapons, but did not say what they will be.
