Do we have to "call upon the name of the Lord to be saved?" as Romans 10:13, Acts 2:21, and Joel 2:32 says?

Thank you so much for this. It made me cry. It was cool because before you even said there's no distinction between Jew and gentile... I knew that's what you were going to say (':
Please pray for me brother. For God has granted me wisdom and a heart to fight for His Kingdom... But I'm afraid and ensnared in sin...
I wanna tell the people... And I have stopped strangers in the street to tell them about the gospel in different seasons of my life. But the time is now and He stands at the door and knocks... The workers are few and the day will come like a thief in the night. My brother thinks the bible cant be true because MAN is so corrupt and its been changed so many times. I try to tell him how Gods perfect. That he hasnt allowed the truth to be changed. I worry about him everyday... And about the people of the world. But im so lost and trapped. Idk what to do... He saved me in every single way... My body and life here on earth now... And my very soul. I dont wanna disappoint him by dwelling in sin anymore. I dont want lives that I could have spoke life into.... Be forgotten because I was too afraid to do Gods will.

Great job. Roman's 10 starts out as Brethren, so we know Paul is writing to saved Isrealites. He is telling them to preach Christ to unbelieving Israelites so they can be saved from God's wrath.
Keep up the great work!

Why do all these commentators (especially neo-protestant ones) lose themselves in historical explanations, and completely miss the spiritual, esoteric meaning of bible verses?...

You have completely missed the point and have talked yourself out of salvation!
Acts 2 is the FIRST DAY of the New Covenant. The Promise of the Father was poured out upon the 120 disciples. The multitude in Jerusalem were all confounded as the scripture says. Peter, full of the Holy Ghost said in Acts 2:16 - "But THIS IS that which was spoken by the prophet Joel;" Peter testified that THIS IS the fulfilling of that prophecy from Joel. In Acts 2:21, He says that "...whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved."

How do we call upon the name of the Lord??

He answers this question further in his sermon. After Peter tells them that they crucified their messiah, they were pricked in their hearts and in Acts 2:37, the jews said "...men and brethren, what shall we do?" In the next verse Peter said unto them:

"Repent, and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ FOR the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call."

THIS IS HOW YOU CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD... in baptism, IN His Name!

Now Romans is an epistle TO CHRISTIANS in Rome. NOT Jews. In Romans 10, Paul describes the difference between the righteousness of the Law and the righteousness by faith. This letter was written to THE CHURCH; people who obeyed the Gospel and became Christians. Once you become a Christian by obeying the gospel, you are saved from your sins (as per Acts 2:38). This is how the blood is applied for atonement as Jesus commanded in Mark 16:16. What Paul is telling CHRISTIANS is to preach the gospel. And by doing so, others may hear, believe and be baptized FOR the remission of sins. The Bible is not a liar. Theologians are.

How was Paul saved?

When Paul was on the road to Damascus, Jesus met him in the way. Afterwards, he could not see for three days. When he came to Damascus, he came to Ananias. Paul reflects on his conversion in Acts 22. When Ananias, by the power of the Holy Ghost, gave Paul his sight back said in Acts 22:16:

"And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptised, and WASH AWAY thy sins, CALLING ON THE NAME OF THE LORD."

When you envoke the name of the Lord by obeying the gospel, you are taking Jesus name in death and raising up as a new creature; washed clean. When you are baptised in the name of Jesus Christ you are Abraham's seed and heir according to the promise just as it says in Galatians 3:27-29. The promise is what was poured out on the first day of the new covenant, the day of pentacost. When you receive the promise; the gift of the Holy Ghost, you are an HEIR of God through Christ, as it says in Galatians 4: 4-7.

There are 800 people who viewed this video. Potentially 799 of them believed you. Their souls will be added to your account unless you abandon the witchcraft of theology and humble yourself at the masters feet. This is also part of the new covenant as explained in Jeremiah 31:31-34 and Hebrews 8:10-12. God will write His laws in our hearts... "...And they shall not teach every man his neighbor and every man his brother, saying know the Lord: for all shall know me, from the least to the greatest." If you want to know the Doctrine of Christ, you have to go to him to get it; not man (Jeremiah 17:5). "And all thy children shall be taught OF THE LORD... - Isaiah 54:13. The same thing is taught in 1 John 2:27 as well.

Please repent and obey the gospel. If you speak english the King James Bible is God's preserved Word. All others came from ROME, the Whore of Babylon.
