When You Trash Talk Tyrese Haliburton........

onna hate and that only motivates Tyrese Haliburton who has been on a mission unlike any other to prove the critiques wrong. He has moves in his bag, that I actually haven’t seen before. Let’s start off by showing you this counter one here (3:58). Tyrese goes in for a standard outside inside foot layup which is cut off by the defender. Tyrese ball fakes, steps back and uses that inside pivot foot to go under his defender. Looks like a travel, but if this guy is good with it, so am I
Next we get one of the nicest pass fakes of all time. He actually spins the ball off of the floor back to his right hand, while also turning his head completely to the left. Notice how Tyrese turns his thumb up high to get maximum spin on the ball.
Haliburton recently had his game winning shot blocked by Anthony Davis, and then was left hanging on the floor. Tyrese’s opponents will often get frustrated with the high level of flare and showtime Tyrese plays with, but the thing is Tyrese is able to combine this flare and be insanely efficient. One of the reasons he has been selected to the All star squad is because of his unstoppable 3 point shot. It looks janky, but I discovered 3 reasons why it’s one of the fastest in the league. Haliburton’s shot is so quick because his set point is higher than most, which means the ball has less time in his hands. Check out where he starts to gather the ball, in comparison to Steph Curry. The 2nd reason is Tyrese barely cocks the ball back. Instead, his form is one smooth motion towards the basket, and this is one of the reason he is in the 90th percentile for spot up shooting. Everything we have discussed thus far is important, but there is something missing that in my opinion is the main reason for Tyrese’s dominance on the 3 point line. The third point is because Tyrese is incredibly balanced and does not have a lot of moving parts in his stroke, what that does is it allows him to have the best PULL-UP three pointer in the NBA. He’s firing 40.9% and is 6th in the league on pull-ups made from deep. In fact, 72% of his three-point attempts on the season are pull-ups. The reason why this third reason is so important, is because it opens up an even more exciting bag of weapons for Tyrese, because as you can see here, defences are forced to attack with pressure off of the screen.
Look at how teams are now forced to play him off of the pick and roll. If you go under, that 3 pointer is money. If you hedge…well this just opens up a tonne of more weapons.

these breakdowns are so good for helping casual NBA fans understand why certain players are so effective. I'd love to see a video on the most improved player, Lauri Markkanen

Great Tyrese Haliburton video! You probably are gonna be making a couple more about Haliburton before seasons end, especially since he just dominated the Bucks in 4/5 games and dishes out 10 assists in the first half against the Hawks!

2:58 ugh
3:43 if you want us to guess what he's gonna do, maybe wait more than half a second before revealing the play
4:24 ugh again
4:38 looks like a joke, sounds like a joke, but what???

Relax Tyrese is nice but his pull up three is by no means the best in the NBA. Yes he has a quick release with his weird wrist focus shooting form but his body has to bend in a very unnatural way (notice how his back is always arching forward) which will make it hard to be consistent long term. On top of that this is a honeymoon phase when teams don’t really strat against him. I like Tyrese but you’re hyping him up like he’s Luka with the best passing and an unstoppable jumper

Jokic is NOT the better passer. So tired of these mofos claiming a big goofy guy that makes an alright flashy pass once maybe twice a game is considered a great passing big man 😅 stawp it! Nobody out passes THE Tyrese Haliburton. Ijs

_"TH is the best passer in the NBA"_ and then ignores passing to talk about (boring) 3s
...ok, you lost me there. Better luck next time.
