I actually considered the D14, but I just really like Zalman coolers. To each their own. With the 4770K under heavy load (OBS+BF3/Crysis3+Browsers) and overclocked 900MHz, this 9900 MAX keeps the CPU in the 40s (Celsius).

Significant enough for me to upgrade. I took into account how quiet the 780 is compared to the 6990 too. Plus the 6990 was 2+ years old. It was just the right time. Since the Nvidia price drop last week due to the R9 290X, if you're looking to upgrade, I'd wait for the 780ti. Unless you want to stick with AMD, then the 290X will likely be the only new card for the next few months.

You do not turn anything when installing the stock cooler, as the pins are already configured for installation. Reference Carey Holzman videos.

That's simply in case a knob isn't turned correctly. After installation, nothing needs to be turned. Simply push them down and that's it. Simplest thing in the world.

This 9900 was $100. Not a "cheap-ass"cooler. It's an excellent cooler and I like it. No reason to be a jerk.

I love that case. I am planning on getting itjust to get rid of my corsair 500R on my old machine. I swear I have been lookin at this for months. ! I just put my Asus maximus VI extreme Mini ITX machine together in a tiny LIam Li SU-200  But I need a GTX-780 like yours but they are on BO I may just get the 2mb if I dont find one soon.  Great build You have great taste sir!  LOL

maybe is better to put the video card in the second PCI-E slot, first, is easier to acces the  Bios battery in case that you use a bad OC combination, and second, you will have less heat togeter
