Hi Ahmed. Few questions related to IT earthing system;
1. In the IT earthing system, I see that you have not used neutral on the load side, and I also heard that it is normally not recommended to distribute the neutral in IT earthing system. Do you know why it is not recommended?
2. When the first fault occurs in IT system, does all the fault current goes to earth with zero potential difference on the equipment frame so that the equipment is safe to touch by a human?
3. How does that current flows from equipment earth to IMD earth when IMD injects a low frequency current? Is there a bonding connection in between or something else. How does earth provide a connection in between equipment earth and IMD earth?
4. As Anasnassar pointed out below; the IMD should have some kind of a filter inside to prevent the power frequency passing through it and only allow the low frequency current that IMD injects. Do you confirm?

Dear Sir,

I have confusion at 11:55 when you say that fault will move towards fault phase but fault current will have to flow to ground via earthing system?
Kindly clear this confusion.
I will be grateful to you.

Is it possible to connect protective earthing busbars together and then connect to earthing pit?
If I need to make solid earthing for distribution transformer, I have to connect earthing conductor from the neutral directly to earthing pit ?
If I need to make earthing for transformer through grounding resistance, how to do it ?

I am modeling an old grid earthing plan in Etap for further analysis. This grid consists of three meshes at different depths and all are connected. I have designed all three meshes at different soil depths but i dont find anything to connect these three meshes in ETAP.

I have run the simulation and there's no error. Does Etap consider all different meshes in different soil depths connected by default???

Please help

Thanks for the video, but I would like to know, with the TN-C and TN-C-S, when the overcurrent relay or CB trips to open the circuit due to a single line to earth fault, would the remaining two other phases, still supply power to the load connected to those phases or not?

I think IMD unit should have some kind of passive filter consistent with the injected frequency (i.e lowpass, highpass or bandpass filter) to prevent the power frequency from passing through it. So IMD is not only injecting a signal through the neutral of the supply but also provides a high impedance (i.e open circuit) for power frequency.

Thank you for this video.
Just I have a question please :
I would like to know the advantages and disadvantages of TN-C-S ?
