Hoi Hans goeie recensie van alweer een tijdje geleden. Maar wat ik me afvraag, je beoordeeld de geluidskwaliteit direct op een versterker aangesloten en via een externe d/a-converter als van dezelfde kwaliteit? Ik was in de veronderstelling dat als ik een dac optisch verbind met de Teufel Connector de kwaliteit van het geluid afhangt van de externe dac en niet of nauwelijks van de streamer. Klopt mijn gedachtegang niet?

Hello Hans, do you know what kind of DAC is in de Teufel? On the internet I read that it's a "high end cirrus logic", but i cant seem to find which one exactly. I am thinking of buying the Teugel Streamer which would be the updated version of the Teufel Connector.

Hello Hans, So I have purchased a connect 2 and wondered if it would benefit from a replacement power supply, if so can you suggest some that would be compatible with the voltage requirements of the Raumfeld.

Misschien een domme vraag, maar hoe sluit je dit alles aan?
Met analoge cinch kabels, of met toslink kabel?
Ik heb een externe dac (Micro Mega MyDac), dat wel.
Die is weer gekoppeld aan m'n laptop (bijv.het geluid bij youtube filmpjes) en aan m'n cd speler.

Speel met een vintage audio versterker (MyDaC is aangesloten op tape 2).

I went with a very cheap product that does the same job as this (iEast soundstream) and initially I was very happy. With the optical connection to my amp the sound quality was surprisingly good but I did note some harshness with higher frequencies. Someone suggested using the ethernet connection but when I went to unplug the optical cable I found that the optical out socket was broken. Maybe that's what you get for £49. Anyway, so that's going back and I'm going to keep looking. I'm determined not to spend hundreds on the typical Sonos type devices so this could be next up.
Between this and the Yamaha wxad-10 that you reviewed, which would you recommend as the best cheapish solution? (I'm not bothered by the music cast function of the Yamaha).

Bedankt voor alle info! Ik zit met de volgende vraag. Ik stream nu via een apple tv. Ik stream hoge kwaliteit audio (apple lossless). De Apple tv is gekoppeld aan mijn versterker via hdmi (digitaal dus). In hoeverre zou ik verschil in geluidskwaliteit merken als ik een raumfeld connector zou aanschaffen? Uiteraard is dit ook afhankelijk van de versterker + speakers. Ter indicatie; ik heb een instap pioneer versterker en teufel ultima mk2 speakers. Alvast bedankt!

Hi Hans, thanks for the nice Review! I've two question:s Is there any difference in soundquality between connecting the Raumfeld Connector analog - cinch - or digital out - with the AVR. And, 2nd, do you prefere connecting per LAN or WLAN to the Router? Is there - in case of a "normal" Wifi-strength - any difference in Quality? Thx, Toni

Hi Hans. I have been looking into replacing my current music player (a WDTVlive) to which I have connected a 4TB hard drive. The WDTV box feeds a Cambridge s700 Isomagic DAC via Toslink (but also has an spdif bnc input), this connects to my Musical Fidelity A1 driving Dali Zensor 1 speakers, (probably considered as a budget system similar to your set up 3) and after watching a number of your videos i thought I had it sussed. A Raspberry Pi 3B with Hi -fi Berry Digi+ pro and ifi 5 power supply until I saw this review. How does the Connector 2 sound in comparison to the RPi set up i have outlined, the Connector 2 has been reduced in price in the U.K to £120 so is looking a very attractive proposition especially since it is virtually plug and play unlike the RPi option. Could you test flac music on a USB drive into the connect and then play through it with the phone app? (Play folder especially)
Could you test if I can send my laptop audio-out via streamwhatyouhear and wifi to the connect?

I also watched your review on Bluenote Node 2 that you rate more or less like the Connector 2 sound wise. As it's impossible to find the Connector 2 for a real test, I went to my favourite hi-fi shop for a test of the Node 2 against the Pioneer N50A. In my opinion, the latter sounds better. Now, as far as sound quality is concerned, how would you rate the Connector 2 vs Cambridge Audio CXN or Pioneer N50A? According to other comments in this page, the Connector 2 sounds as good as Marantz N6005, or C.A. CXN. But, to be honest, I have some doubts on these opinions.
I'm talking only about sound quality and not the apps, which are also very important, but not as much as sound quality, IMHO.

Great channel. And subed. I'm late to this episode, I know ha! I do use this Raumfeld connector for years. In connection with a Synology Nas. I never have been a fan of the Nas. Too slow in my opinion. Also the Raumfeld app is to slow and quirky lately. Last week I started testing ROON. Love it . What a speed. To my surprise Roon recognized my Raumfeld connector. I even get Puple light when playing via my mac to the Raumfeld. Bizar. Now i'm wondering whether I should upgrade my streaming device to the cool Argon Solo? Later on I will be building my own NUC also. For now I will use my mac for the Roon Core. Roon rocks!

I bought it few days ago and it sounds as good as Marantz n6005 250 pounds? and CA CXN more expensive 700 pounds!!!with fancy display that you can't see from few meters?(had it for a few days), which wins only by the look but not app control.Very quick respond on hard drive with a lot of music, costs much less, I think it's not well advertised ....but anyway it's worth every penny :)

Both your video's are very good, have subscribed, so keep them coming, I have a connect and two Cubes, they all work fine for and thats all that matters, but would recomend the Brand to anyone. Prompt and helpfull support also.
