Making a bird feeder is not that hard if you think about it. All you need is the bottom part of a plastic container (with holes on it's side), a couple of different diameter plastic plates from the garden store, and a few wood sticks to make the base.
I set up the wood sticks and boards as shown in the video, so that I can make a steady base onto which the feeder can be secured.
Then passing a nail from the bottom up, I secure the next two pieces, which are the base plate and the main feeder (the bottom half of the plastic container). Using a small wooden stick, I secure the two pieces together.
Next step is the top part, which will be the cover and waterer for the birds.
On top of the middle wooden stick that secures the bottom parts, I attach the top plate, which is wider in diameter to act as a cover, so that the food won't get wet from the rain.
And onto that cover, I put another small diameter plate to act as a water container for the birds. This way our feathered friends will have something to eat AND drink.
I secure the top part with a nail, and that's it. Our feeder and waterer is ready.
You can secure it on a pole or use some rope to hang it from a tree.
Also, you can use a bottle cap when inserting the top nail, to act as a seal, so that no water will leak down to the food.
Thanks for watching, and if you like what you see, consider subscribing.
