It’s an Iranian celebration of new year! All Iranians, Kurds, Lors, Jewish, Arabs, Parsi, mads, Mazan’s Gil, Turk, Tajiks, ozbek, Armani, Mazeni, celebrate Nowroz!
It’s coming from Mitraesim and Pegenisim !
So, zarorostians have adapted something that existed even before!
It is An Iranian steppes celebration no mater what religion or tribes.

Haven't watched the video on Zoroastrianism yet, but curious if Zoroastrian practise of celebrating Nowruz is still carried out on the spring equinox of the northern hemisphere, even if they live in the southern hemisphere (which, at the time, would be the autumnal equinox).

LOL at one of the commenters here who claimed that Nowruz is banned in Iran and only celebrated by Kurds when Iran is quite literally the birthplace of Nowruz with Iran's entire identity and calender revolving around this Persian festival. Kurds don't even maintain Iranic traditions, yet claim such nonsense.

we kurds celebrate it as a .... political festival because people around us dont celebrate it in iran it is band in Turkey it used to be band same in Syria but today we celebrate it in all of those countries and oh boy we had to fight for that right because the middle East is not that open minded.

Eventhough in Maldives, we already known and became muslims so early but still in Eid day we burn trees and stuff. These comes from old hindi traditions i believe. And fun fact is it doesn't seem any bad about it when Islam prohibits highly other religious or pagnese acts
