I wanted to know when you were having the HS graduation out at the College that day, and there had been a Tornado Watch issued at 1:30 pm, with all the warnings out there ahead of that day talking about a tornado outbreak, did anyone at the Ceremony make any kind of an announcement asking people to stay at the College if a Tornado warning was issued, or if the Tornado sirens were sounded?? I saw a video of people leaving that day and how surprised they looked that the tornado sirens were sounding!! Surely knowing the risks predicted and the tornado watch issued earlier, someone did?? If not, why not? Just wondering?? Also, when my sons were younger and in School here, I used to go get them out of school when a tornado watch was issued!! People used to make fun of me because I did that!! I guess I just never felt they were that safe in a school if there was a tornado!! Now if they could guarantee they could get everyone in a bathroom, I probably wouldn’t have worried that much! But I knew they couldn’t, so I always felt better if they were with me safer at home!! After seeing the damage these schools took, I’m so glad I was a little neurotic about it back then!! Thank you for putting a shelter in these schools now!! Unfortunately, it took this tornado to do so!!
