I'm in CA, the top 3rd state in the US getting hit the hardest with this pandemic.
It's wrong on so many levels to deny people to eat-plant their own food!!

I sent Whitmer a stern e-mail when she made gardening supplies off limits too! My local fruit market said they couldn't sell mulch, potting soil, manure, ect...only food the owner told me. I said to him, "those supplies ARE my food for this fall!" He thought about it for a second and then started cutting the plastic off the pallets and sold me everything I needed.

I was shocked when my MIL told me that news! My husband is from Frankenmuth, and so many people in that area garden extensively. In this time of uncertainty, a home garden can mean not only food, but a means of calming anxiety! Hopefully the governor will rescind this decision, or make some kind of adjustment! I had almost no interest in gardening until late 2019, and of course in normal me fashion. I went out and bought a ton of different seeds when there was a sale. Shortly after they started shutting stuff down, and now I’m super grateful that I jump head first into new hobbies lol
