The Halloween story: painted into a corner, part 3. The next day, Josh was finishing up with his class and had dinner with his girlfriend. She asked how the class was coming along. The group is really taking a liking to it. I know I've been busy with the program, but there's something magical about it. Josh hesitated to tell her the whole story. She just looks at him as if to say, "I know that you feel truly inspired. Right now, I don't mind being by myself for a bit. I want you to share your passion for art with others. That's one of the reasons why I'm with you. You don't have to share everything with me. I know when a project gets you excited it kind of takes over, but that's when I see you the most happy. Just promise me you'll try not to overdo it. Josh decides to keep everything secret until he knows more. Seth and Bela were up to no good across town.They had snuck into the mayor's office looking for the deed to the studio. Bela Have you found it yet? " Seth keeps looking. We can't let anyone find what's in that studio. Bela Aha, damm, it's just a copy Seth, we can make that work I know a guy that's good at making things look official. The next morning, Josh decides to just help peat for the day. He tells Peat Ware he bought the brush from Peat and asked if there was something wrong with it. "No, " says Josh, "but I wanted to see if I could get a whole set. Well, I bought it from an online estate sale I just clicked on the first one that said "You are welcome to see if they have any left, " but they were kind of pricey. That's why I only bought one, but let me find the address so you can check. It appears to be in the Terramar neighborhood here in Carlsbad. Josh sends an email to the owner and hears back later that night. He was sent an odd email instructing him to arrive at the villa at precisely twelve o'clock, no earlier or later, or he would not be admitted. The next day, he shows up at the villa. There was something strange about the place. He felt as if he was being split between reality and some kind of fantasy. As he was walking up to the door, he noticed everything was not like the other side of the house was alive and flourishing, but on the other hand, it was like it was in the dead of winter, just lifeless. The only thing that wasn't was the door, which was carved in a way that made it look like it went on for infinity. Josh takes a heavy gulp and knocks. The door opens with a woman behind it, and in a stern voice, says "Enter.
