Hisense U6G TV Review - Budget model with great performance?

The Hisense U6G is a great TV overall. Although it's the entry-level model in Hisense's ULED lineup, it delivers an impressive overall experience, with excellent contrast, outstanding black uniformity, and a decent local dimming feature. It has a great response time, with a nearly flicker-free backlight and an optional black frame insertion feature. It's not as feature-rich as the more expensive models in Hisense's lineup, as it lacks any advanced gaming features like HDMI 2.1 or variable refresh rate (VRR) support, and it doesn't support eARC for lossless high-definition audio formats. If you don't care about those features, though, it's a great TV overall that should please most users.

I hate watching tv reviews. I want to buy a TV "X". then I search opinions, and they say "X It's a good tv but you should go for "Y" instead" Ok, I'll buy "Y", then I search reviews and they say "Y It's a good tv, but you should go for "Z" instead" Ok, I'll buy that one, then I search reviews and they sat "Z it's a good tv, but you should go for "Z 2.1" instead" and it keep going til someone says "If you are on a budget you should definitely go for "X" :/

I own the 75 inch, it’s hard to beat for the price. For around a $1000 bucks it’s a great home theater tv. If calibrated right, even the tv snobs will be impressed with its deep blacks and rich colors. Dolby Vision, and HDR content is light years beyond standard HD. Maybe not the best, but everyone who has watched my TV raves about its performance.

They have this at my local Walmart for $700 in a 75 inch. Easily looked better than the other 75 inch budget offerings on display. Not in the market for a 75 but I was really impressed by this offering. Whoever picks this up is getting a great deal.

We just bought this TV in the 55 inch model to replace the TV in my husband's office/game room that died the other night. We have another 2-year-old 55 inch Hisense Android smart TV in our master bedroom that we bought in 2019 and have been extremely happy with it, so we didn't hesitate for a second to buy another Hisense. The picture quality is stunning. Honestly, our 2 "budget" Hisense TVs perform just as well as our much more expensive 75 inch LG that we have in our living room.

Got the 75" version for my parents for $849 ($799 black Friday). Nothing else comes close during these sales. Such a steal for the performance and screen size.

Saw it today next to a U50 From Samsung, out of the box the image peak brightness blew my mind. The image was so much better vs the Samsung model

Best bang for you buck TV. Bought the 65" yesterday for 600 with 5 year Warranty from Best Buy. Incase the back light goes bad like I saw on the display model they had in store.

I have exact same TV in my garage 50 in. Great budget TV with good brightness !! Read usb and HHD very fast compared to my $2, 000 Sony TV in the living room... I do have a soundbar that connected, the only negativity about this TV that for some reason it constantly powers ON soundbar... everything else is great operation system very smooth and fast

I've had my 55 U6G since Aug of 2021. Coming from a 32 in Sharp Aquos 1080p LCD, I am not complaining for my first 4k tv. Really wanted to go for the U8G, but that was just a bit out of my price range. I have noticed some minor issues but over still very satisfied with my unit. I mainly use my tv for PC Monitor/ PC Gaming and occasional Streaming/ Cable content. Over all I think this is definally a very good Budget TV over other lower end Friendly Budget 4k TVs. But being my first ever 4k HDR tv I cant really say which is better though other then looking through RTING specs on the 4k tv's for a long time before I finally settle in on my U6G. For $549 through Best buy i felt it was the right Price for me when I bought my Hisense U6G.

$600 bucks for a Quantum ULED or $600 for a regular LED but brand Or pay $300-400 extra to have same image quality but more features. This is the best budget model.

I returned a TCL 5 series Google for the 65U6G Roku and think the picture is better on the Hisense and prefer the Roku UI.

Gradient performance on the 75" makes this TV unusable. It is terrible. I think you should do a separate review for the 75" because I think you would update your rating.
