Icelands 13 sabers are getting shipped from Sigi right now and I couldn't be more excited seeing they' get a glowing recommendation. Only thing I'd complain about is that the guard colouring options are overpriced for something you can do at home with a 20$ bottle of bluing solution.

Glad you specified the style because the way I've always fought with swords (whether it be as a kid with no clue or as a teen at the local martial arts studio with foam swords) was always a quick yet heavy strike, and all these years later I have this legit saber that's front heavy and allows me to move it quick and hit hard

Love the look of the guard on this saber. Could you recommend any cavalry sabers? Of any fighting swords I would want for looks alone, the cavalry saber takes it.

I like the symmetrical ambidextrous guard. It’s tough finding good sabers when you’re a lefty. It’s why i have used an english mortuary sword for the longest time.

I ordered the sigi sabre when it came out. Got the pro guard with the curved blade. Spent 700 on the sword rounding to nearest 100.
Honestly hated the thing. Sadly when my car got stolen my fencing gear with it.

Nice. What’s the total weight? I ordered a Sigi ‘big’ with the light blade (700g total!) after CombatCon where I got wrecked using a 1796 style grip. I can’t wait for my new saber.
