I can honestly say, with 100% sincerity and no hyperbole, that this game helped me fall in love with gaming again.

Bloodborne was probably in my top 3 games of all time. I knew the inspirations this was taking, but I didn't expect it to recreate all the feelings I had from that time. It's like being able to re-experience something you're nostalgic for whilst creating an entirely fresh set of wonderful memories with the new experience.

It's pure magic. Je t'aime!

Honestly the setting of the game has to be one of my favourite out of all the Soulsborne style games I’ve played, primarily because it still feels somewhat grounded and familiar to recent reality compared to the likes of shacks and castles of Dark Souls / Elden ring, or the more stylised aesthetic of Bloodborne. The architecture is relatable to us Europeans, and I guess the setting just helps it to be different.

But I’ll never forget that feeling of walking up that burning street towards the Opera House with this song playing in the environment… fighting through the flamethrower puppets and the clown and then taking a look back down it once all was done and still hearing a normal, nice song playing amongst all the death and destruction…

It’s that environmental storytelling that really makes an impact for me.

Fantastic song. I've never quite played a game like Lies of P... it was oozing with character and atmosphere (one which I love being almost like an industrial England)
