I first went and stayed upstairs in the apartments at Cafe Del Mar in 1986 and was blown away at the music and that ceiling decor! Years later around 1999 or thereabouts I was sitting in a cafe in Larnaca Cyprus and there was this CD playing and I said to the owner this music reminds me of a place I once went to in the 80’s, I asked ‘what is it?’ He then showed me the case and it was Cafe Del Mar vol say no more. I’ve never been back and probably never will that way my memories of classic Ibiza and Cafe Del Mar and Es Paradiso etc will remain with me always.

I still have some tapes that we bought in 1986 /87 and 88 at Delta Discos or directly from Jose Padilla in the Cafe. Nothing but epic moments in my memory.

This is the sound that is never forgotten!!! When I 1st heard it I didn't know what /who or where it's genesis was but I found the CD and I still play it today. Thank you Jose for this gem. It's my therapy.
