I grew up in Cali. In a time where everyone had fig trees in their backyards. I use to climb up into the one my Moms friend had and sit an eat them to my hearts content. Now I grow fig trees

My grandfather taught me to split them in half with my hands and then press the inside to my open lips and push the outside with my index finger so it flips inside out into my mouth. Love figs. 🇵🇹 🇺🇸

Not all figs have wasps I just ate like 10 figs from Costco I checked them all they didn’t have a single one

I've got 8 fig trees (bushes). No wasps in mine. Me and the chickens love them.

I never eat the outside of the figs, not because they can hurt your mouth (tbh I never knew that they would hurt your mouth) but because I just don’t like the outside of them, I always squish them in Half and then suck out the inside and it would turn inside out. I also have a fig tree in my yard. It was my great grandmas before she passed and when I got her house it became mine and I can wait until I am able to pick many figs

I live in northeast Pennsylvania, USA, and I WISH figs looked like these. I am jealous. Right now we are in Mid September 2020.
I have HINDREDS of Unripened figs that will not ripen before it gets "real" cold.
What a waste. I planted my figs about 4 years ago. Last year I wrapped them in burlap and plastic over the winter months and I did get good results even though our winter was mild. And still I have way too many fruit that will not ripen. I LOVE FRESH FIGS. Never had a fig before I planted my to bushes except FIG NEWTONS. B4 i.get too old maybe I should sell my home in PA. and move to a warmer climate like
FLORIDA where I can grow ALL kinds of crops and KIND OF live off the kind of . Plus, Florida is a RED state atleast for now.
