I've also been using a MacBook for school (and now college), and I can certainly praise it for having a great battery life, and still working good for almost 4 years now (most laptops last between 3-5 years). Though it's still preferable to use a different device to play most video games haha.

Macs are pretty good in productivity, and honestly, I love my m2 one. But it still can't match my pc. It's just what it is.

It's all about which one you are more familiar with. Those who grew up with mac, prefer mac. Me personally, I grew up with windows XP and I still use windows to date because it's not easy to just switch operating systems

Honestly love my macbook pro m2 i use it every day for school a bit of work and roblox and it rarely gets loud compared to my old windows laptop that would sound like a jet taking off when opening chrome i cant find a single flaw abt it

They are good for working and that's what there built for while windows is for both but is just preference

I think people hate on them not because of their hardware, but because of the software. It SUCKS if you wanna do anything except video editing or creative stuff, and on top of that, it’s really hard to use for literally no reason (eg. the mess that is the “Status Bar”)

Had a 2012 macbook recently. Battery life was super bad but was worth it

I still stand by that if apple added exe support macbooks would be one of the best computers on the market(not by price) it would completely make me want to use a macbook over a windows laptop

I agree, macs are really good (everything besides price, sorry but I mean it is still apple), what a lot of Windows users that say "macs aren't good" don't understand though, is that macs aren't made for gaming, that's why you have windows, but really they are good for anything besides gaming.

I'm like 99% sure something about macos is holding intel macs back, i have a 2017 mac and before I switched to linux mint everything ran really crusty and just meh half the time but ever since switching to linux the response time is better, it runs better, there are more games I can pick from linux is just a better experience than macos

The argument isn’t really what is going it’s about what price is and don’t get me wrong like a old MacBook Air m2 or something priced at under $1000 is acceptable BUT the stupid RAM and storage apple doesn’t give you and the nano glass upgrade make this so a bad investment

i personally dont care if someone uses a mac because im not a moron to tell them to move os’es and entire ecosystems just because i think a platform is worse than the other, the people doing this are mainly children who think that they know EVERY little bit of technology and are knowledgeable enough to tell someone to move to windows. (or its some seriously stupid person)
