AT2020 FlipFlop - Ep#91 - spectacular views from “The Lookout” in Vermont

I really enjoyed this 13 mi hike. It was not easy as it had many ups and downs but it also had a spectacular view at the end from the Lookout cabin. Our weather has been holding out and it has been rain free during the day so far. It felt like I was on vacation.

It sounds like a vacation. You are relaxed, enjoying your hike and nowhere to go. Nice new looking sign. Beautiful colors. The gift of a bridge. Quarter mile for a slack pack...worth it! Praying for Terri’s healing from her fall.

The Lookout is a great place to sit and watch the world go by. I cooked dinner and then took it up there and sat for hours, watching the sun go down and the stars come out. Even saw some fireworks over in NH. Glad the weather was so good for you.

Rule #1 coffee and breakfast. Climb big hill lol . Terry did great without the coffee though. I would have crawled. Thank you for the New England Fall spectacular! Glad your hip/leg is better. Be well hiking sisters and Trail on!

Well, you know ... if you aren't sweating, you aren't hiking, girl! Let's vow now to make our section of Virginia feel more like a vacation, rather than just trying to get miles! And Terri is a good sport - at least she had the views from Lookout to enjoy - it was a spectacular day for great views!
