Hi everyone !!
This is Cindy…. Buddys mom!!I I want to give you an update on Buddy❤️❤️
Side note —-I am so grateful for Buddy and for Dr Doug🫶🙏
Buddy is doing so well-his front paws do not splay out, his back right leg only shakes sometimes and he is able to put about 80% pressure on that leg. His back left leg is solid!
Buddy eats and drinks standing up and also stands on his own to pee and poop ( in case you wondered LOL)
Buddy has been sleeping through the night !! He also is able to walk on the hardwood floor now!! His tail is always wagging, especially when we walk and people know him!
I do walk with him 1-3 times a day and I leave it up to Buddy where we walk and for how long. It averages around 1 mile per day total. ( as a reference point he was doing around 2 miles a day before he got hurt- and couldn’t stand -July 12th).
Buddy goes up and down curbs like a champ and he always walks in the crosswalks.
Buddy is a happy, healthy and very much loved 17 year old mixed breed dog ! THANK YOU for all of the sweet, kind and loving birthday wishes!! 🙏
He is back to doing some things I was not sure if he’d be able to do so I am beyond blessed and grateful!

In 2015 my parents dog had the same issue, he was also 17 at the time, we saw some vets and they all wanted to cut him open to remove some bones, that was an instant no no for us, instead we took him to a chiroprator and after some loud cracks and adjustements he could walk again, he lived happily for 4 more years after that and passed in 2019 at the ripe age of 21, with the exception of stairs he had no trouble walking until the end, we buried him in the yard.

The owner is an excellent pet parent. She didn't just give up and accept that the immobility is just a symptom of old age. She made sure the dog receives help.
