Staffies are wonderful dogs, but like all breeds, they're unique and have their quirks. If you're the beloved owner of a Staffy, then you probably already know all about their weird behaviour.

when im talking on my phone, suddenly i have a staffy on my lap, when i open my fridge i have a staffy staring at me, when im using my toilet i have a staffy sitting in front of me, when im pulling out the collar i have a staffy hiding under my kitchen table 😅 god i love my little boy sooo much ❤️

Had dogs pretty much all my life. But none like my much missed Staffy girl who converted me to the breed and gave me some wonderful years until she went to the playground last year.
Making sure I went to the toilet correctly, watching over my bathtime, talking at me (oohrrrowwleeyuff Snort! rrrowwleyoohuff!) including telling me off. And the cuddles. Cuddles and kisses.
She always knew when I need a hug and was always there.

Miss her so much.
But when I'm ready, I'll be looking around for a rescue Staffy to take this human on.

Staffies are an exceptional breed deserving of love and admiration. My journey with bully breeds started in my childhood, where I grew up with three bull terriers until I was seven. From age 11 to 24, my loyal companion was Buster, a Staffie-Mastiff mix. He was my steadfast friend, guiding me through the trials of adolescence and the tumultuous questioning of my identity and aspirations. Buster was by my side during high school, my first love, breakups, and the daunting early twenties, helping me discover who I truly wanted to be.

After losing Buster, I took eight months to find my next cherished companion, an American Staffordshire Terrier-Ridgeback mix. Despite the grief, this decision opened my heart again, and he has taught me valuable lessons about loyalty and unconditional love. Each bully breed brings unique experiences that shape our lives for the better.

Our staffy Baxter luvs following us around. He is the toilet guardian. He whines for things like treats or a bit of coffee milk froth. Barks for play time. Barks sometimes if he hears people outside (guardian bark but a big softy). Luvs water and fishes for things on the bottom of ponds. Smooches with the biggest kisses. Sits on us and if one of us leaves their place on the couch he takes the space and looks at the person like 'dis my space now :) where are you sitting'. Plays with his good friends, Norman, Vinnie and Henry - Kelpie/Mastiff mix, Miniature Bull Terrier, and Greyhound. Luvs them to bits.

Not been able to enjoy a good sit on the throne in private since Buster came into my life 😂 I'm convinced I have a dent in my right calf now because that's where he always stands/walks. Should have named him velcro. My right ear is the cleanest in christendom. As for grunts, wuffles, snorts etc he never stops and I'm forever chuckling at them. Totally besotted I am - he's the best thing that's ever happened to me ❤
