In the video Drew McCoy from Genetically Modified Skeptic implies that all Christian Apologists are liars, and that Frank Turek of Cross Examined is being intentionally dishonest. Here is part 2 of my response where I respond to his objection to the fact that there are messages in DNA.

I am extremely cautious of using biological design arguments because they often get into weird evolution/creation turf wars. However, you've shown that Drew manages to *very badly* misunderstand and misconstrue arguments he disagrees with, which when combined with his obvious dislike and hostility towards Turek and apologists in general, makes him look like a hack more interested in scoring points than seeking truth. DNA is a message, not a perceived message. It tells the proteins what to do, so it's real information & it's really conveyed. That's a message.

GMS always uses the "play victim tactic". He has like a dozen videos about telling people why he became an atheist without actually directly telling people why he became an atheist. Instead he just went on and on how he was victimized by his former religion and then asked for donations.

Can just very briefly mention, please, that the information contained within the DNA is not even being interpreted by someone? At least not someone intelligent with a brain. It just gets copied by enzymes and is then translated into proteins by the ribosomes. No real interpreter present during the whole process. Not even during the multiplication of the DNA for cell division purposes. And even so the complex code of DNA within every living cell on our planet is being processed and implemented all the time.

I think you also could've called out GMS' erroneous line of reasoning that the ontological status of an object is contingent on whether there exists a perceiver to perceive said object.

If there exists no sentient mind in the universe, if there are two rocks on planet X, are there still two rocks on planet X?

Yes, of course there are two rocks. That's because numbers exist necessarily and independent of human consciousness or perception/cognisance of them.

Therefore, it's clear that a message exists independently of perception.
