Today, I did some testing with the latest version of Unity visionOS 1.0.3, which included utilizing the impressive Unity visionOS template showcased in this short video. Additionally, I went through the new setup process and reviewed the updated Play To Device features for Dev Fast Iteration. Moving forward, my plan is to create a new, small, step-by-step video series focusing on Full Immersive (VR) experiences, both immersive with bounded and unbounded volumes in Unity.

All the research I did today will help me get there, and I should’ve a total 2 new videos this month!

Do the shadows show up only when run in device? Would shadows show up in the simulator? As it I finding it difficult to cast shadow in runtime in editor too. Can you please share some light on this?

Does it still require unity pro? $2k per year isn't worth it for a typical hobbyist

Hey Dilmer, great video as always. I'm new to vr development so I have a question. Vision pro loads 3D objecta from .usdz files; if we use unity to create polyspatial objects, are those also exported as usdz files? If not, what file format are they exported as? Or is it wrong to understand it as objects? In other words, if I want to create an immersive project using Unity or RealityKit, what file are those exported as?

I was able to make a mesh mapping prototype, and got the developer account and build to work using Unity. However none of my occlusion materials work for both URP and SRP. Do you know if Apple has any plans to support this? Thank you
