[SOLVED] Desktop Folder Missing from Favorites Windows 7 (Navigation Pane) - Fixed

This Technically Solved video is for those who are experiencing either of the following:

* desktop folder missing from favorites windows 7
* windows 7 desktop not showing in navigation pane

How to get the desktop folder to reappear:

1. Click on the start menu.
2. Click on 'Computer'.
3. In the left pane, right click on 'Favorites'.
4. Click on 'Restore favorite links'.

That's it. If you ever find that the desktop folder is missing again, just remember this video to show you how to get it back.

hi i have a problem, this video helped me with getting the folder back on my favorites but i accidentally dragged the original desktop above the libraries folder now i cant remove it or get it out apart from the libraries folder

Actually, it was the My Pictures folder which had disappeared, and it wasn't in Favorites. But when I right-clicked on Libraries, sure enough, there was an option to Restore Default Libraries and that got it back for me.

Didn't work for me. I can see the favorite list to the right, but can't see it from the menu list, so when I want to save something to the desktop it doesn't show.
