I made a MISTAKE with Stalingrad (okay, a few)

After nearly 10 hours of video content and 80,000 words, it was going to happen eventually. But yes, I made a pretty big mistake during episode 15 of the Battlestorm Stalingrad series. Hopefully you can forgive me. Oh and YES, I'm suffering from burnout... and have been for 6 months... and it's mainly because of this series... So I guess Stalingrad isn't going to be an easy fight!

ABOUT TIK 📝

History isn’t as boring as some people think, and my goal is to get people talking about it. I also want to dispel the myths and distortions that ruin our perception of the past by asking a simple question - “But is this really the case?”. I have a 2:1 Degree in History and a passion for early 20th Century conflicts (mainly WW2). I’m therefore approaching this like I would an academic essay. Lots of sources, quotes, references and so on. Only the truth will do.

This video is discussing events or concepts that are academic, educational and historical in nature. This video is for informational purposes and was created so we may better understand the past and learn from the mistakes others have made.

Mistake or no mistake, your Stalingrad series is the greatest documentary I've ever watched

You made mistakes ? That means you're human. Still one of the best history channels on YT. Your battlestorm series are the most detailed ones. Keep it up, Sir.

The Battlestorm Stalingrad is the longest documentary...

And the battle hasn’t even entered Stalingrad yet

Dude, I can’t even imagine how much work goes into your Battlestorm documentaries, you take as much time as you need, those things are television quality (or beyond in some cases) productions. Even if you were just turning Glantz’s work into a documentary of that quality it would still be a massive undertaking, but you’re obviously not, given the amount of other sources you reference. Take whatever breaks you need, sane people will wait

We haven’t even got into Stalingrad and it’s exceeding Crusader already. I really wonder how long the whole thing will be. We all make mistakes, but no one can deny the fact that this is one of the most ambitious documentary projects ever taken, especially consider that you are only one man.

Most Stalingrad documentaries begin with tall tales about operation Barbarossa and then talk about the actual battle for only 1 minute. Your documentaries are to rhe point and filled with substance. Keep up the excellent work.

Your Stalingrad series was an incredible gift for my obsession about the battle of WW2. The only mistake made was people who would call any of your errors as mistakes. Thank you for the extra time you took to make ‘corrections’ which are expected from the thoroughness of your video and the massive amount of research it took to create your series. You have no reason to apologize.

Hey TIK, if you need to take a break from Stalingrad I'm sure that we would all be fine with the wait. I've loved the series so far!

So, at this pace it may be what 40 hours total time. Damn TIK, my Patreon money extremely well spent.
Best Battlefield Documentary Creator online today in my opinion.
I'm not sure I've spoken 80, 000 words jesus mann, you are a f*cking Bulldog.
I loved the retail video, maybe my second favorite next to the Oil video.

TIK You've been doing seriously hard work but relaxing is important. Don't know what sort of stuff you do to relax but I got myself a motorcycle this summer and I can say that it's been remarkable stress relief. When you're riding a bike you're not going to be thinking of anything else while doing it. I'm not saying it's correct for you but you have to do something just so you don't start hating what you do. Kudos for admitting your mistakes.

Stalingrad is so complicated I would be surprised if anyone has ever had a complete picture of it.

The depth of impact of each video is immeasurable. For me, at least it’s not just a casual viewing experience, but a profound history and life lesson. Bravo!
