As I understand it pineapples grow in tropical places where Caucasian man does not originate. I have watch reality series/ cooking shows where this technique is done in seconds accurately especially in fruit carving countries:) Chef does seemed somewhat stressed and not overly familiar with the technique himself. Not sold on this one...
