My future rig will be a MINI PC with a Stix Halo like APU. need a gaming one hoping for a 16 core APU with a lot of type c ports and type a...been building my own PC over the years but with GPUs becoming power hungry and expensive especially here in Australia A MINI PC with an APU will be a good choice for me.

ROG NUC: I'm not going to touch it, then proceed to remove the power cord.

Just a note that the video description still says the video isn't sponsored in the boilerplate block at the bottom.

You're saying they don't offer NUCs with AMD CPUs, but there's a AMD NUC in all but name right there, first one you cover at 2:02 - ExpertCenter PN54. It's also not any less "premium" from what I've seen in articles.

Asus needs to sell them in Costco / Sam's club

No thunderbolt 5 port to plug an external GPU?

I still want a full size gaming pc with lots of cooling, so it doesn't burn up in 8 months, and if there is a problem I can replace components. These would be good for office or media.

Good systems, I really like the ROG one of course. I also liked how one of the nuc ones had translucent case, a plus for me.
Another thing I would like to mention, I don't know Adam, but he clearly has good taste in shirts.

The i/O on PN54 device is soo silly. Why on Earth everyone would need TWO 2.5G Ethernet ports. Why there's no at least Thunderbolt 4 port?
Copilot button on a box that will be placed far from the reach of a hand🤦‍♂Better replace it with another USB port

Would rather have another port on front than a copilot button. If I wanted to use copilot I'd use the button on a keyboard, not reach over to the computer. Who designed this?

The headphone connection is not bad, it would have been Bluetooth.

NUCs have always been intel only mini PCs
closet AMD got to NUC branding was collab between Intel CPU and Redeon GPU fused with special NVlink few years back

I don't have any use case for it, but would want one none the less

True premium should have internal power supply!

4:54 "Thunderbolt" OK, but which one? 3, 4 or latest Thunderbolt 5

These need a Thunderbolt 5 port particularly with Asus releasing the XG Mobile later this year, which is a Thunderbolt 5 eGPU

WTF good is a "Co Pilot" button on a PC case??? That feature alone stops me from even looking at that machine any further. Anyone else as sick of over-hyped AI features as I am?

I use a older laptop (Dell E6330 paid $150 refurb. with lots of add ons thrown in worth every penny) with Linux Lite, fast boot up and very snappy only for torrenting😂 and have my main PC gaming rig. A mini PC is interesting, that might replace my laptop needs in the future 😉
