FYI: These very red, raspberry-looking eggs belong to an invasive species of snail known as the Channeled Apple Snail. There is a variant native to the United States known as the Florida Apple Snail, which lays white-colored eggs as opposed to red. Only ever crush the red eggs if you're in an affected area. We don't want them going extinct in a place they're native to.

Channeled Apple Snails destroy crops, overeat native plants (leaving animals to starve), spread things like lung worms, and are toxic to most things. The eggs are covered in neurotoxins, which is why they appear frosted. Neurotoxins are bad news, so that's why many people are using tools to crush the eggs. Also, I hope the girl at 1:24 washed her hands. If not, I pray for her hospital bill.
