It's going to be (Android P) Pepto Bismo because of the notches

Still rocking the Nougat 7.0 on my Samsung phone. Probably will get P in the year 2020 if I'm lucky.

The video is somewhat misleading...
Bringing notch support doesn't mean that next Pixel will also have it.
Its just for the developers to test their apps and other OEM's who are having/bringing display cutout/notch in phones. Eg. Essential PH 1

I agree the notch is simply a waste very few people would want it.

I dislike Apple but I hope the next iphone won't have a notch so as to humiliate Android OEMs for copying something so stupid.

If the notch comes to Android, I'll start using landlines again! Kind regards Richard U.K

Wait... Why would anyone voluntarily put a notch on their display? Am I missing something? Like the notch on the iPhone X was a design compromise, not a feature...

So I'm still waiting for Android 8 on my Samsung phones but Google is half way through 9? SMDH...

Can't wait for this. Always loved anything curved and especially curved OS's

Please no freaking notch, even Apple is doing away with the stupid notch design in their future iPhone, thinking about it... I might even switch to a notch free iPhone if android phones starts having them..

Notch support doesn't mean they'll add notches. I think it was lollipop or marshmallow that added support for USB audio and we didn't see that come to fruition until the Pixel 2s. Dual cameras may happen, but google is already working on RAISR I think it's called to enhance zoom quality, so there would be no need for a telephoto

How about battery and phone temprature .. cuz its moderate battery life and so warm on oreo pixel 2 ..

Apple is talking about doing away with the finger print sensor. It will be a deal breaker for me if they do. If they do I will switch to Google Pixel XL 3

5:32 he says, "On a modern Android Phone, you shouldn't have to worry about battery life" - LOL!!!! After 2 years, the Nexus 6P battery dies at 60% or about 45 minutes of use. Batteries haven't improved that much. Battery is always an issue.

If Google add notch it will be big loss for pixel line

Not one "must have" feature in Android P for me. Seems like mobile software has hit it's plateau

I can't see Google adding the notch in the pixel 3. They have an open os that needs to support a wide variety of manufacturers hardware. So they need to add the feature to the os even if they don't use it themselves

They need to keep the current battery settings. I don't care if my phone should be good enough to manage ruining apps. I should still be able to close everything if I want to and deselect a couple apps that I don't want to sleep. I hope the management of rogue background apps is better with Android P. I have several apps that restart background processes even if I have them set to sleep as soon as I close the app. Greenify has been the only thing I found to reliably manage these rogues. Fitbit, Speed test, and Gas Buddy are just a few of the apps that do this.
