Private space has been around forever. Samsung and Motorola have a secure folder. Its in miui as well called second space and its in other UI's as well.
Plus android had work profile for a really long time that you can activate in almost all phones

The secure folder on samsungs is better because you can turn it on and off in the quick panel and you can remove it from quick panel so no one can find it while google pixels is just there
