Nord Stage 3 - Building a Sustaining Drone Pad and Piano Layered Sound Tutorial - Church/Worship Pad

Perfect for church worship music, in this video I show you how to create a layered sustaining drone pad and piano sound that allows you to play piano while having a soft sustaining pad sound underneath. Hopefully this video helps you get setup with the sustaining drone sound, but also teaches you how to use the sound in a live setting either in church or on another stage!

I absolutely love your videos! So useful! I have a Nord Electro 6D, and I don’t think I have all the same program buttons. Wondering if you have upgraded your keyboard and can do those same videos about setting up a pad on a 6? Thanks for your help!!

Just unpacked my Nord Stage 3 and this is super helpful! Can't wait to use it for worshipping the Lord Jesus! :-)

I like the dissonance you create on the Em chord running the G and F# together. I find myself doing that a lot, too.

Thank you. You explain really great. My first language is Spanish, and I understand everything. Thanks ☺️

Really good tutorial. I do much of this already, but the KB hold feature I haven't used yet for a synthpad, only for an arpeggiated/left hand drone part while playing two other parts simultaneously. I have another project where I need this, so thanks for the great tip.

Great job, sir! Can you make a tutorial of doing sustaining pad with second keyboard instead of using split your keyboard in second method? Thanks in advance!

Like the second method. Great idea putting the pad up top. Hadn’t thought of that, really miss my piano bass notes when split with my second instrument down low.

Great content. Thanks for helping out. My question is why would you not put the Drone note on the lower Octave of the keyboard with a split Point covering only that point and below. Put the piano on the other panel over the entire keyboard and now your drone note will change if you choose to go down into that low octave on your piano it will change the pad Drone also.

Great video as usual! I have a question for you, is the frequency knob in the Synth Panel equivalent to the frequency knob in the equalizer? If not, what's the difference? Thank you!

Hey man, great stuff! Side question: It looks like you're running the Nord right into your Focusrite? Any tips for getting such a clean sound with that? I have issues with running live keys into my Focusrite at times. God bless!

The question now can you do this in the Nord Stage 4??

Thanks for video! Is it possible to do something similar on the Piano 5?

Hello. Are you able to walk me through doing this with a stage 2? Thanks!

Great job! Thanks! I'm brand new to the Nord Stage 3. Can you direct me to a video that would then show how to save this setting? I have used Mainstage and Sunday Keys and find it super handy to create my specific song patch and then be able to name and save that patch to use again. I'm sure that's possible on the Nord but not sure how. AND...using the arp function to create pulses in specific BPM/s and saving those as songs...Thank you!
