Would I be betraying bodyboarding by trying to surf on a surf board? I was a very talented skateboarder and bodyboarder but have never tried to stand up. I grew up scared of water since I was a kid I have water phobia. You can ask my mates on a bodyboard back when I was with them we could take just about any wave. Something strange happened. I thought it was the same guy that I've met. First when I was 15 he was on the beach trying to sell handmade necklaces. Then about 3 months ago I thought I ran into him again working at a surf shop. I think he wanted me to buy a surfboard from him. He looks like in a movie point break what they call the ring leader of a gang of bank robbers. I've done a few aggravated burglaries myself by accident I just wanted to know how to interpret what this man wants me to have, and whether I would be betraying myself or not. I don't know the answer that's why I'm asking.
