The website, aimed at nurturing grasping power students, has classroom lectures on almost all the topics. It is an outcome of 23-year long toil of Physics expert who has made it a mission to simplify the complexities of Physics.

Ashish Arora, the brain behind this interactive unique website, has all his lectures available on web for free of cost. He has created a youtube channel in the name of Physics Galaxy. Today more than 6000 video lectures are being watched per day on this website which is highest among any other e-learning website in India. Till now more than 3.6 Million videos are watched on it. On each video subtitles are also available in 67 languages using google translator including English, Hindi, Chinese, French, Marathi, Bangla, Urdu and other regional and international languages.

Besides uploading transcripts of all his videos, he has created a software based synchronized European voice accent of all videos to benefit students in USA, Europe and other countries.

Compression in eqm pos (x°') should be 3mg/k na....?

In 2nd line of the soln

sir but velocity at mean position should not be v1
Bcos
v1 is the velocity just after the collision
but for attaining mean position further compression is required so the mean velocity should be changed?
help sir

Sir tells something else
Sir writes something else
But answer is always correct

sir, if we calculate the value of T/4 we get sqrt(3m/k)*pi/2. but as the pan initially compresses the spring, we need to get a value less than T/4. so my doubt is logically, shouldnt there be a minus sign before sin-1(3/7)??

sir plz help me as soon as possible.

can we solve it without using the concept of shm. i try it by energy conservation as first calculated the time of free fall and after by energy conservation finding the max compression and using the equation of motion to find the time under retardation by spring. but ans coming is wrong where i am doing wrong plz tell me.

sir pls tell, why did u conserve momentum in y- axis but external force is not 0, gravity is acting

How to do it by Taylor theorem please sir tell.

At 4:18 shouldn't we square the whole thing? 2gh/9 = k/3m[A^2-(mg/k)^2]^2
The above equation should be correct right?

Shouldn't maximum compression case be at extreme?

Initial compression will be 2mg/k or 2(2mg/k) ???
Are u considering the eqm position or zero velocity position??

how have we conserved linear momentum in vertical direction for the pan just before and after collision considering, there is a net force acting in the downward direction ?
