Elden Ring: How to Get Dragon Form - Full Igon Questline (Shadow Of The Erdtree)

How to get the Dragon Priestess Heart (Unlock Dragon Form) in Shadow Of The Erdtree DLC for Elden Ring. It is obtained by completing Igon and Dragon Communion Priestess NPC Questlines, which requires defeating Bayle the Dread atop the Jagged Peak.

IMPORTANT: it seems like you can still do the Dragon Communion Priestess quest even if Igon has been killed. You just won’t have Igon to help you fight Bayle the Dread.

There is a painting in the shadow keep and when you go to the paintings location, you can get the rock heart that turns you into a different dragon form

Something i found helped with sannesax (or however its spelled) is to lead it out of the water. The shockwaves produced by it being in water lead to really annoying dodge timings, while being on normal land makes it a lot easier. Not sure if this actually helps anyone tho ^^

Pest Threads just absolutely demolishes Bayle’s Healthbar if you run talismans setup for Pest Thread spam. With Mimic as well it dies very quickly, but can also 2-shot even a level 340+ character (if on NG+2 or higher) and can kill the Mimic INSANELY fast.

Same applies to Seneasaxx.

I hate that i killed igon. i saw a bunch of ghost attack him so thought we had to put him out of his misery. Blud was screaming in pain

A method that helped me beat the ancient dragon was hit and run, specifically to for the back legs as it mostly attacks with front legs. Make sure to jump every time the dragon strikes the ground as its lightning spreads through the water. Lastly bait its fire breath, get around it and you can get a good charged attack in while in its breath animation, then quickly get on Torrent and run away and rinse and repeat

Ancient Dragon Senessax cheese is riding torrent with lorettas mastery and running back through the path you came, as Senessax follows he will despawn. Then you ride back to the arena and he will slow walk towards you, it will give just enough time for one or two shot. Then repeat when he depawns down the path

Spoilers, but there's another way to complete the quest, which gives different gear. Need to do it before killing Bayle, though.



Progress through Thiollier's questline until you get his concoction (do not use it on yourself), then give it to Florissax at night, while she's standing unaware.
Wait a few days until she wakes up, then exhaust her dialogue.
Kill Bayle with Igon, then return to her. She'll reward you with the Dragonbolt of Florissax, which gives a 10% damage negation buff to you and nearby allies.
Admit what you did, but keep talking. Accept her offer.
You'll recieve her spirit ash, in return for losing out on her weapon and the Priestess Heart.

Congratulations, you now have a dragon GF. Vyke and Lansseax would be very proud of us.

There are two separate dragon forms and a different ending to the dragon priestesses quest line. There is a painting in the shadow keep that is solved in the dragon mountain place on the way to bayle, it gives you the male counterpart form that the ancient dragon man had. This one boosts dragon communion but is otherwise the same as far as I can tell.

Additionally if you get the sleep potion from thioller (sure I’m miss spelling that) you can actually use it to put the priestess to sleep. This allows you to actually get a spirit ash version of her after you defeat bayle but locks you of out the female dragon form and maybe her weapon

In the two dragon fight, you can wait and one dragon will kill the other. Then you only have to fight one that is on 3/4 hp.

Here is a trick for the dragon use poison arrows at a distance he won’t wake up
