Unfortunately, even if I wanted to buy the Switch 2 and any of its games, I just can't afford it. The good thing is, I still have a decent Switch backlog that will last me several years.

The switch 2 reveal made me want to get a steam deck. I wasn't happy about paying $60 for a game, now them being $80 is far to expensive to me

Considering Animal Crossing New Horizons has sold 47 million copies it boggles my mind how little new content we've received for it. They could have kept that game going for so many years but chose to kill it after only two. There's a huge fan base begging for anything new Animal Crossing related and Nintendo is just like "nah"

My partner bought us the Switch Oled 2 years ago and as someone who is chronically ill, I got hooked! This was one of the first gaming channels I subscribed to. The rumours of a new Nintendo console instantly caught my attention as this will be the first time ever I am excited for a new tech release. I set up a Switch 2 saving pot months ago and the experience of placing a preorder was truly euphoric despite it being a down day healthwise! I am so glad to see you excited and I look forward to all your Switch 2 content!

I need color variations released. I can’t handle the boring prototype. The price alone is terrible as I am in the US. Looks like I’ll be waiting a while. Really hoping for a new Animal Crossing as well.

I always appreciate it so much that you encourage people to really consider their options instead of feeding into the fomo <3

I'm getting it under 2 circumstances 1. If my current Switch breaks and I need a new one. 2. If they come out with an Animal Crossing themed Switch2 with a new or refreshed game. I mainly use it on my TV, so the 4k on the new one will be nice.

I use my Steam Deck literally every single day, and I've barely touched my Switch since getting the Steam Deck, even going as far as to purchase games I already owned on Switch on Steam. I think for people who are really into Nintendo specific games, the Switch 2 makes sense, ESPECIALLY if they release a lite version. But for people like me who don't care about the Nintendo specific games so much, a handheld PC Console like the Steam Deck or the Legion Go is a more sound investment if you're prepared to drop that kind of money. There's also the option to wait a bit and see if any used or refurbished consoles come on the market - that's how I've acquired nearly every console I've ever owned, including my Steam Deck, which was $250 on Ebay. A little patience can mean a LOT of savings.

I think the waiting game is the one I’ll be playing for the next while 😅 I know I will eventually own some version of this console, but I’m in no rush for many of the reasons you brought up here. Patience is a virtue etc etc

Honestly? I think they missed the boat on a number of things, including it being just a little too little to late for folks who have already moved on to other platforms. The cost is also... pretty staggering for a Nintendo console. For a Zelda game (open world not one of these throwback handheld ones) maybe. For anythign else? Meh, I've got Steam I can play just about anything I want.

I actually just got my first switch last summer(my first console ever!), so even if the new one is way out of my league for now, I really don’t lack cool games to play the next few years… It’s still hard to not feel left out, really wanting the new shiny thing!! Or be grumpy about the prices…😅 But this video had a very welcome perspective. 😊

A paid tutorial? I hope no one pays for that. My 10yo isn’t happy about it, but we will be waiting until at least Christmas time before getting a Switch 2.

The Switch is my first hand held console and I'm obessed ever since my fiance gifted me one on my birthday only two years ago. But with all the news about prices and Nintendo itself not being very consumer friendly (I live in Brazil, so you can imagine how high are the prices) I probably only will buy a Swtich two if Atlus or Square Enix launches a Nintendo switch exclusive ... And if by some miracle I would being able to have the money. In the mean time I will live vicariously throug your videos <3

My main reason for buying the Switch 2 is that my original Switch was stolen in a burglary a couple of months ago. I really struggled without it until the Switch 2 announcement, so between that and a few other difficult things this year, I will be unboxing my Switch 2 on launch day with my middle finger held high to the universe.

I think the price of the games will really stop me making impulse purchases this generation. That said, I'd be better inclined to support devs who give price parity beteeen versions or consoles. The switch tax is a killer 😅

I'm absolutely going to wait for a lite version of the Switch 2. I already have a Switch lite that is my prime means of gaming and I love it.
