Hey Taki, I absolutely love this project and just placed my deposit, but please even if it takes a little more time and ends up costing a little more, make that retail version of the OLED touch compatible, because it is an extremely useful feature and losing it would be awful

I ordered the super 5 oled screen for the switch lite. The screen came in a highly protective padded plastic case, and all the tools needed for the mod were there, thoughtfully packed.The mod was very easy, and the screen is unbelievable. It blows me away every time I turn it on. It makes everything better. Highly recommend!

I think I’d be looking forward to a 3DS upgraded screen the most next. IPS or OLED upgrade would be fantastic and give me the push to fully rebuild one with a custom case.

These really need touch support. If it was done on the OLED already, touch should be in the oled retail unit at least. Thanks for doing this.

That's insanely good done taki.
I would love to get one. But the ips and the oled should have a retail version with touch. Even if it's very pricey in the end and probably only for people who own an SMD iron.
That would be my main point of getting one - touch support. I am sure a lot here will add this to their modded switch where it would be very practical in a lot of different uses.
I hope the touch will make it into the retail version!

Word of warning to those excited about a wider color gamut: Nintendo Switch games ONLY support color gamuts at 100% sRGB MAX. this means in a 150% sRGB display, your colors will be displayed as oversaturated and incorrect. While this is a matter of taste for some, this is a very relevant disclaimer that also applies to the Super5 OLED as well.

While the Switch OLED only supports a max of 99% sRGB and 350 max luminance, I can confirm that the colors here are more accurate than the Super5 and probably the super7.

I know this seems kind of pedantic at first, but its the difference between a Pink Kirby and a nearly Red one. (and yes, i checked every white balance setting on the super5)

Ive just got into the Nintendo switch since it released. A few things shocked me.

The amount of mods and the Games. I dont know why I dodnt give it a chance until now but im loving it. This looks amazing

I'm going to be extremely honest here. The way you have handled the past screens and devices has not been great. For one, when the Super5 OLED originally came out, the logistics were a complete mess. Peoples orders were being cancelled and shipping was constantly delayed. Also, on the website it said that the Super5 OLED non touch would be restocked in February. Now there is no mention of this and there was no restock.

I say this not to be overtly negative, but to bring awareness to these issues so that hopefully you can fix them in the future. I love the fact that you are making all of these screens and I want to see this project come to fruition!

As soon as the touch version comes out if it ever does I will be first in line. I love my Switch Lite OLED and cant wait to do the same for my V1 Smash Bros edition switch.
