The bassist is absolutely amazing. The whole track sits on top of his work. 10/10 song

I've listened to this track over and over but to see it performed live literally brings shivers, music ain't done that to me in a long time, pure, perfect, powerful love to the ears.

Mad respect to Fran for vamping on that DMaj7 for basically the whole song, the acoustic adds such a sick percussive texture

The "Freebird" of the 21st century in a much more succinct format!

Fucking love this song. One of my favorites. I just got back into drumming after several years of not playing. I have this song down, but my forearm burns like crazy with how consistent and fast this song is played. Props to these boys for being able to do it flawlessly 🤙🏽

I liked the recorded version and then I saw this. Watching musicians so into what they're creating that they touch zombie is a something for which I can only say "thank you".

Awesome stuff..

War on drugs mixed in with some broken social scene... Very good sound.

I keep hearing you on BBC 6Music here in UK.... you guys have a distinct sound of your own and are fkn one well done....fantastic I'm off a certain vintage and Lloyd Cole and the Commotions were my thing growing up and they had a similar twangy distinct guitar totally love

I'm alright
If you asked me
But you never do
Is this thing on?
I'm coming at you
From beside a dirty canal
And I've never felt better
Since I let her go
You find out
Who your friends are
When the city's cold
And you speak like a child
And I've been reading the French press
And I've been disconnected

And people used to say
Under their breath
That you got the looks
And I got all of the rest
Did it work out for the best?
And brother don't you know
Brother don't you know
That jealousy's a curse
And what's worse is the silence
It's strange
Are you moving out of range?

Keeping alright
That's good to know
The cup runs over
At the overflow
Well nothing happens here
The time ticks slow
Where the money walks
And the hard air blows
In the same shirt
With the same crack
In the same window
Drinking from a French press
Fiona's changed address
Did you hear about?
(I'm having trouble making you out)
Did you hear about?
(I said I think I'm cutting out)
Did you
(I'm having trouble)
Did you hear about?

Such a poignant part of the song for me. Reminds me so much of returning to live in my home city after university; a city which is pretty much just mixed-zone suburban sprawl, malls and historic monuments, punctuated by some pretty brutally hot and dry summers (if you've been to Pretoria, South Africa you know what I mean). Feels like time doesn't move there. I definitely miss being close to my mom and sis, but I couldn't fathom going back to that limbo of a place
