I love June Hur books! I have read all 3 and can’t wait for the next one. She does such a good job putting us in the historical world and it so different from my life experience that it does feel like fantasy. And she manages to make the women strong and capable even if the their world doesn’t want them to be.
I started Scythe last month and then put it down because I was traveling. So I am going to pick it back up next week. You reminded me of my favorite parts and why I want to get back to it.

There is a sequel to Parable of the Sower called Parable of the Talents which is also good. There is a lot of historical fiction that takes place not in Europe and not involving WW2. Books set in the US, Asia and the list goes on. I’m going to check out Scythe.

Oh I love The Downstairs Girl. Definitely have to pick up another book by the author soon. And so great you brought up Scythe, I've seen it sitting on your shelf but never saw you talk about it. Haven't gotten to the third instalment yet because I have heard not so good things about it, but I might give it another go now :) overall, great recommendations <3
