The air pump is also great for your gear. Using your breath can add moisture to the inside of your pad. It can get pretty gross if you’re using your pad frequently.

Thought those pumps were a waste of money/weight but the fact they can deflate your pad as well for that sweet sweet small pack size changed my mind.
Mines also has a hook and doubles as a tent lamp which was a great surprise

I have two down blankets, one has a reflective side that lives in my car and the other is in my camping gear, it’s great for emergency’s or when you realize you don’t fit in your sleeping bag any more because you hadn’t been camping since you were in middle school

I only have one essential, my campervan, with kitchen, fridge, sink, heater and bed. And its bear proof, but in the UK we only need to be rabbit and squirrel proof.

Take it from a canadian more socks are better then good socks it's all bout the layers get some neoprene dive boots if u want something fancy for your feet their super light waterproof and grip cold slippery wet stuff ready well if u need some backup boots or don't want your leather boots soaked hard when it rains for days
