SIGLENT Technologies releases 4 ½-digit multimeter SDM3045X

I was interested in purchasing this meter so I watched the video twice because it moves along so quickly. Then I had to play it again because the music is so catchy. Not sure which I like most, the meter or the music. I found myself wiggling in my chair to the tune. I even used google to try and recognize it.
All joking aside. I'm a hobbyist and had been searching for an affordable bench meter. I started at under $200 but found only junk. Then I went to $300 but still only junk. Almost settled on a meter at the $350 mark. I hesitated because even though it's only $350+ tax, It's still $350+. Also it was a brand name but I was a little disappointed with it's VFD screen, plastic build quality and functionality. I was then considering to just keep using my Fluke. I am sure glad that I did hesitate because I decided to look again for something better in that price range and found this for $381.00. This thing is comparable to the other meter like a Toyota to a Lamborghini. I can't speak for a professional but this is definitely the way to go for a hobbyist. Don't waste money on the junk. If you are a hobbyist, It's either this or a handheld.

Hi. Just a question. Why is AC voltage presented with "+" in front as a positive DC voltage? It's a little confusing, as it looks like DC.

In comparison to ANY handheld, this multimeter shows EXACTLY HALF the resistance value measured in circuit.
Why is that ?

Hi Siglent, I'm facing a possible issue in my Siglent SDM3045x. In AC voltage it gives 550uV in the display with the tedt leads shorted. After doing Rel it goes to 0uV, good. But after that, the device stays with an offset of 600uV... if the input voltage is lower than 600uV it gives zero! Accordingly to the specs we have an accuracy of 10 digits, so, 100uV is the expected error right? Please could you help me? Best Regards, Hugo.
