Jupp's Heynkes Triple-Winning-Team was the most devasting team ever. They destroyed "Pep's" Barcelona with 7:0 (4-0 home, 3-0 away)

Actually, Niko Kovac didnt failed at his first year in Munich... to be honest it was a good season for Bayern Munich... he lost in the Championsleague against Liverpool, like all teams.... and won the DFB-Pokal and the Bundesliga with 9 points behind Dortmund.

He also has a really hard job at Bayern Munich... to replace Ribery & Robben and to improve the stability of the Defence...
For replacing Ribery & Robben he didnt got Sane, Nicolas Pépé or Huddson Odoi.... he just have to work with Perisic... I know Perisic isnt that bad, but he is not on the same level as for example Leroy Sane....
For improving the Defence, he did got Lucas Hernández and Pavard so the Defence got stronger then last year...
Hernandez and Pavard also need some time to get really comfortable with the new club.
I think he has done a good job so far... Not unbelievably good work, but that can still be proven in the rest of the season.

If he achive, that Coutinho gets comfortable in Munich and improve players like Coman, Gnabry, Tolisso and Kimmich, then he will be a very good coach.

Perišić and Coutinho will shine this season and Kovač will stay on the bench.
This Bayern can be a threat in CL.

People blamed Kovač for getting us knocked out from the Champions League as early as the round of 16 last season. But that surely wasn't Kovač' fault. We had terrible team last season. In the games against Liverpool, Gnabry and Coman couldn't deliver anything, James Rodriguez also failed to impress, our defense was nothing like the way it is today. And our bench, oh dear, I wanted to cry when I saw our bench against Liverpool. So it's not Kovač'fault at all.
But this season, with the addition of Coutinho, Lucas, Pavard and Perišić, we are a strong team. Neuer also got his form back. So now our defense, midfield and forward all looks good. Hope we will do much better in Champions League than the last season.
In Kovač We Trust ⚽ Mia San Mia ❤

Kovac is the definition of a "transition coach." He is not bad at all, but when things get difficult Bayern looks like a team lacking creativity or tactical advantages. Also, the current squad is nothing like the starting XI from 2012-2013. They don't have players of the level of prime Ribery, Robben, Schweinsteiger or even Lahm. Coutinho, Gnabry or Coman could make a difference, but only the Champions League will tell.

A tactical analysis of Tottenham vs Bayern would be great!

Kovac is a good coach. He knows what he's doing. The first Year at Bayern was a realy unthankful job and he still won 2 trophies.
I realy like him and hope that Bayern won't quit on him at the first sign of inconsistency.

when had bayern ever a young coach with lesser experience?? i remember only klinsmann who failed miserably compared to kovac..
last season he had to take care of a lot of players who were too old and simply not good enough anymore.
this year the team looks much closer to kovacs style and i think they have been progressing well. the biggest difference is while coman gnabry are good they simply are not as good as ribery and robben in their best times so without new winger i doubt they have chances to win champions league the next 2years...

Finally he lost his Job...
In my Opinion, as a long time Municy Fan and educated Coach myself, Kovac didn't get a real Chance to unlock his concept on Bayern. While his wish was to play a more aggressive Football in a 343 or 433 Formation, he was forced by Munics Management buying central offensive midfielders with world-class, like James last or Coutinho this season, to play an 4231, that he didn't want to. With this system and its more midfieldpress structure for defensive play, he wasnt able neither to create a aggressive pressing nor a creative offensive style by dominatimg the middle with much possesion and short passing combinations, like Munic is used to do.

So what i saw the last 18 Months were opponents defending deep in the own half, and Munic with 1 or 2 good counters per game, but mostly Kimmich throwing cross and cross and cross from the half right side in hope to find Lewandowski. Overall the style of play went worse week by week and even the results were more "individual strength" then tactic or teamplay related. Last to say if Borussia Dortmund wouldn't perform bad too (thats why bayern isn't that far away from rank 1 in the league/you can expect to see their Coach Lucien Favre fired in the season break), Kovac already would be thrown out like 3 weeks ago.

Last season Bayern went out of UCL due to poor individual performances (Neuer) rather than tactical failures and they were playing Liverpool who were red hot at that time.

Although Kovac is a successful coach of Bayern, he was criticized last season by Uli Hoenes and Rumminege because he dropped out early with Bayern against Liverpool. He was extremely criticized and there were theses that other coaches like Mourinho or Tuchel would take over the position. If Kovac had lost the DFB Cup, he would be kicked out, according to Hoenes. Just because he got the double, he was allowed to continue training.
